First to feature the Parlor City Package, this guitar features a unique Chaos Headpiece, Tailpiece, Heel, and Rosette. My client was very inspired by Ervin Somogyi, one of my favorite luthiers. I excitedly went to work on a few prototypes of the headpiece before final implementation, and I am glad to announce that this aesthetic will now be available for future orders in the form of the Chaos Package. Furthermore, the client loved the look of Bloodwood accents.

I am so glad to be back to building with my favorite Northeastern Hardwood, Black Walnut. This log was sawn somewhere in the Triple Cities, and I had a blast cutting up the log into several sets for my client to peruse through. He also wanted a very specific nut width, “somewhere between a Martin and a Taylor.” After some prototyping, we settled on a very unique 1 13/16” nut width that sat very comfortable in his hand.

Lastly, we installed a LR Baggs Anthem piezo and microphone active pickup system into this guitar. The ribbon is only 3/32” wide and not ready for a botique guitar out of the box; my saddle widths are now 1/4” wide. So, we routed out a channel into a bloodwood wedge to fit the piezo and placed that underneath the saddle so there would be no loss of string vibration translation throughout the rest of the soundboard.

This guitar represents what it means to purchase a custom, hand-made guitar from a luthier, and I couldn’t be more proud of her.
